Poland will host Junior Eurovision 2019!

Previous to the Junior Eurovision 2017 contest, the host city for the 2018 was decided. This year, the process unfolded in a way we would expect, where the winning nation would be given first right to accept or refuse the hosting of the contest.

As we know, Poland won the 2018 edition of Junior Eurovision, and now the EBU have announced that Polish broadcaster TVP have accepted the role of host, and the contest will be taking place in Poland in 2019. This will be the first time that Junior Eurovision will be held in Poland.

Jon Ola Sand, EBU’s Head of Live Events has commented, saying, ‘We are delighted to announce Poland as our Host Country, and TVP as our Host Broadcaster, for Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 and once again congratulate Roksana Węgiel on her spectacular winning performance at this year’s Contest. It is always exciting to bring the event to a new Host Country for the first time, and we look forward to seeing TVP’s vision for Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 come to life over the forthcoming year.’
